• The complete University’s Academic Attire consists of graduation robe, hood and mortar board.

  • The academic attire needs to be worn at all times during the Convocation ceremony.

Graduands are prohibited from altering the robe, hood and mortarboard.

GRADUATES’ ATTIRE FOR THE CONVOCATION CEREMONY

MALE

  • Lounge suit (dark blazer and slack trousers) with a tie or

  • Long-sleeved dress shirt with a tie and dark slack trousers or

  • Complete Baju Melayu with samping or

  • National attire that is modest, fully covering, and in accordance with the official protocol of the convocation ceremony

  • Dark, closed-toe formal shoes

  • Sandals or sports shoes are NOT ALLOWED

  • Short and neat hair, not extending beyond the collar of the shirt

FEMALE

  • Traditional Baju Kurung, Kebaya, or Long Kebaya or

  • Lounge suit or

  • National attire that is modest, fully covering, and in accordance with the official protocol of the convocation ceremony

  • Dark, closed-toe formal shoes

  • Purdah or clothing covering the face is NOT ALLOWED

  • Sandals or sports shoes are NOT ALLOWED

Reminder

The Administrative/Security Officer has the right to prevent students who do not comply with the Dress Code as mentioned above from entering the Tuanku Canselor Hall, USIM.
