- It is absolutely mandatory that graduates’ check-in be reported immediately to the Marshal at the designated times and gates A (left) or B (right) of Tuanku Chancellor Hall. Tardy check-in for convocation is not encouraged.
Graduates must comply with the rules as directed by the officer in charge.
Graduates must convene and line up at the designated lines/groups before being checked into Tuanku Chancellor Hall.
Graduates will be marshaled into the Tuanku Canselor Hall’s individual seats. Due to the formality of this occasion and safety concerns, please observe the seating protocols. Graduates should not change their seats nor should graduates occupy other seat than the seat previously assigned while Convocation Ceremony is in session.
Graduates must not recess out of Tuanku Chancellor Hall until all Convocation Ceremony and formalities are concluded.
When “Distinguished Procession/Chancellor Procession Arrival at the Hall” is announced, graduates and guests must rise and remain standing until members of the procession are seated. Likewise, graduates and guests must rise and remain standing when “Distinguished Procession/Chancellor Procession Exit the Hall” is announced.
Graduates may recess out of the hall following the Distinguished Procession, subsequent to the announcement: “Graduate Procession/Chancellor Procession Exit the Hall.”
Graduates are required to wear the exact University Academic Attire appropriately throughout the Convocation Ceremony and its formalities.
It is absolutely mandatory that University Academic Attire be removed and placed on the graduates’ assigned seats when graduates recess for restrooms out of Tuanku Chancellor Hall. Upon returning from the restrooms, graduates are required to wear University Academic Attire again and must reconvene at the designated seats.
